J Adam Woodford

Attorney J. Adam Woodford practices in all areas of family law and specializes in divorce, child custody and placement, child support and property division, legal separation, adoptions, and is trained and certified as a Guardian ad Litem representing children’s best interests. In addition to family law, Adam also works with small businesses and nonprofits involved in real estate, retail, manufacturing, food service and brewing industries. He also assists individuals and families with estate planning and probate.

Adam graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 2011. Prior to law school, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development from the University of Oregon where he specialized in working with children and families with special needs. Since 2000, Adam has worked with young children as a teacher at Headstart and various other childcare centers in Madison and the Pacific Northwest. Before joining Schuster Family Law, Adam was a Partner at Herrick & Kasdorf LLP.

Adam has served as a board member for the Dane County Bar Association and on several committees for the State Bar of Wisconsin. He has received numerous Pro Bono Honor Society awards for assisting low income Wisconsin residents, and regularly volunteers at the Family Law Assistance Center and the Small Claims Assistance Program at the Dane County Courthouse.

In his personal time, Adam enjoys gardening, yoga, dancing, and spending time with his family.
