ELIZABETH SCHUSTER

ElizabethAttorney Elizabeth “Liz” Schuster has grown up in Madison, WI. She attended Madison West High School and went on to graduate from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI, with a degree in English. She completed her first year of law school at Denver University and then transferred to Marquette University where she received her law degree in May of 2007 and joined the practice with her father, Jack Schuster.
Liz's practice focuses on family law litigation including areas of domestic violence, child abuse, divorce, child custody and placement, child support and property division.

Liz is also regularly appointed by the Court to act as Guardian ad Litem, representing children’s best interests in custody and placement disputes, child abuse restraining orders and adoptions. She received her Guardian ad Litem certification and interned with the Milwaukee Legal Aide Society, Guardian ad Litem division, in Milwaukee County Children’s Court. She also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for her achievement in the study of the role of Guardian ad Litem. She has been a presenter with the State Bar of Wisconsin on numerous family law topics including, Guardian ad Litem training, financial litigation, domestic violence and ethics.

Liz’s approach to the practice of family law is first and foremost child based. She believes that children’s best interests should always take priority in any and all proceedings.

She has been named as one of Super Lawyers, Wisconsin Rising Stars in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
